In light of the current geopolitical turmoil and issues proper to the 21st century, it is undeniable that more-and-more countries will seek the services provided by the ICJ. A shifting world order from a singular to a bipolar one, then succeeded by a multipolar power balance has led to an increased role of the ICJ with the millennial breakthrough, suggesting an ever-increasing role of this institution in the future.
